Reply Calm guide
How to reply to a pushy sales message.
A pushy sales message can make a normal decision feel urgent before
you have the facts. A calm reply slows the thread down, names what you
need, and avoids a rushed yes or an irritated no.
Take the pressure out
- Thank them briefly, if that fits the relationship.
- State that you are not ready to decide today.
- Ask for the exact price, scope, terms, or deadline in writing.
- Say when you will review it, or clearly decline if the answer is no.
Example wording
Thanks for the follow-up. I am not ready to approve this today.
Please send the full price, scope, and deadline in writing, and I
will review it before deciding.
When Reply Calm helps
Use it when the thread has too much pressure, repeated follow-ups,
or a first draft that sounds harsher than you want to send.
Keep it practical
Reply Calm helps with organization and wording. It does not decide
whether an offer, price, contract, warranty, or service term is
correct.
